The Rise, Fall and Continuing Rebuild of a Publishing Phenom: A conversation with Anne Zehren, Kaboodle CEO
Anne’s award-winning career as a young entrepreneur and CEO was a headline-maker. She was the Associate Publisher of Glamour magazine, the launch Publisher of Teen People magazine (the most successful magazine in publishing history), on the start-up team for Al Gore's Current TV as President, and then made Common Sense Media a household name; she served on White House boards, public and non profits boards, all before she was 40. She had it all: an adoring husband, two sons, serial success as a CEO, and public accolades. Then, over a course of just a few weeks, she suddenly became mysteriously debilitated, could barely walk, was writhing in pain, and couldn’t remember friends' names, or how to drive to work. She lost almost everything, but she never lost hope.
