Black Trans Intimacies: On Building Futures in the Present (Virtual Radical Kinship Series)
In this round table, trans and nonbinary artists and scholars come together to discuss the ways in which intimacy is rendered and re-imagined in our contemporary moment and how intimacy serves as a world-building tool. Participants will share their work (poetry, scholarly research and activism) and speak of their work as a form of intimacy with the world and against patriarchy and anti-Blackness. This event aims to ask: what kind of intimacies do we need today for all Black trans and nonbinary people to be free tomorrow?

*If you require an accommodation for effective communication (ASL interpreting/CART captioning, alternative media formats, etc.) to fully participate in this event, please contact Ariana Ceja at centerrg@berkeley.edu with as much advance notice as possible and at least 7-10 days in advance of the event.
