UC Berkeley Public Health Alumni Association Professional Development Webinar: Shortages in primary care and nursing. What’s the evidence, and what are the solutions?
Dr. Joanne Spetz of the University of California, San Francisco, will give an overview from her research about the health care workforce, with a specific focus on primary care and nursing. State and national reports of shortages of primary care providers and registered nurses have been rising over the past few years. Yet some health workforce experts believe these reports exaggerate the problem. This webinar will examine the theory of shortages, the evidence on whether they exist for primary care and nursing, and potential policy solutions. This webinar is hosted by the UC Berkeley Public Health Alumni Association and is part of a series to provide professional development opportunities for SPH alumni and students.
